Brick Painting Done the Right Way
Clean the brick: First, we use a brick cleaner or a mixture of water and TSP to scrub the brick surface with a wire brush or scrub brush. We then rinse the brick thoroughly with water and let it dry completely. We are sure to test with a moisture meter before any painting commencement.
Mask off any areas you do not want to paint: We use masking tape to cover up windows, doors, and any other areas you do not want to get paint on.
Apply a coat of primer: We use an airless sprayer and back rolling to apply primer specifically made for brick to the entire surface. We are sure to cover all areas evenly and allow the primer to dry completely according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Other Preparations: We are sure to dig out the base of the home as well as get any bushes or trees off of the surface that needs to be painted.
Paint the brick: Once the primer is dry, we can begin painting the brick. We use an airless sprayer and back rolling to apply a coat of exterior paint in the color of your choice. We are sure to cover all areas evenly and allow the paint to dry completely according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Clean Up and Touch Up: We take the time to thoroughly clean and touch up the entire job site. This includes moving back any yard furniture.
