Our Popcorn Removal Process Is Professional Timely Simple Tailored

First, we assess the condition of the popcorn texture. This includes examining the overall surface, checking for any cracks or imperfections, and determining the best method for removing the texture. We also will test for asbestus prior to any work being performed. We do not work on asbestus.

Next, we prepare the area for the removal process. This involves extensively covering any nearby surfaces with layers of plastic, protecting any electrical outlets or light switches, and making sure the area is well-ventilated.

Then, we carefully remove the popcorn texture from the ceiling. This may involve using a scraper or a steam machine to soften and loosen the texture, followed by scraping it off the surface.

Once all of the popcorn texture has been removed, we sand the ceiling smooth and clean the surface to remove any residue. We then do any needed final floats of mud to make sure that the ceiling is nice and smooth.

Priming: Before texture, it is typically necessary to apply a stain blocking oil based primer to prevent any yellow bleed through that may occur.

Next, we apply a new texture to the ceiling according to the client's preferences. This may involve using a hopper gun or a trowel to apply the texture material, taking care to achieve an even and consistent finish.

After the texture has dried according to the manufacturer's instructions, we prime and paint the ceiling to match the rest of the room. Throughout this process, we take great care to ensure that the finished product looks professional and polished. As a trusted painter, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work that meets our clients' expectations.
